'Developing Potential  and Christian Values' in a Nurturing School

Here at Hollinsclough C of E Academy we serve both a local  and increasingly wider community of pupils and parents.

Our academy is underpinned by our strong Christian beliefs and values, especially the 'Fruit of the Spirit' as reflected in our school song 'You'll go out with Joy'.

A key aspiration of our academy is Service before Self, which encompasses clear Community values and a Tolerance and acceptance of all.

We offer Primary education for children from age 3+ in our Pre-Reception class, through to age 11 in Year Six.

Our teaching environment is split into three class groups. Each class is tailored to promote the best possible delivery of learning, where every child is given the opportunity to develop and exploit their full potential. Each class utilises a fully qualified teacher, including our EYFS class. Our teachers are  also supported by two excellent teaching support staff.

If the opportunity presents, we would strongly recommend that you look at our Parent Comment page, to review their thoughts, or better still come and take a look around; you will find that our surroundings are second to none and we make full use of them throughout the year.
We believe that every stakeholder is important, and that together we all can learn from each other
. Key to this approach is our offer of Flexi-Schooling.
If you are wondering what  Flexi-schooling is, the easiest way to describe it, is as a synergy between Elective Home Educators and mainstream  teaching - take a look at our Flexi-Schooling page for more information.

We have become a leading exponent of Flexi-schooling in the 21st century and we have been praised by Ofsted, DfE and numerous other dedicated educational professionals from around the country and beyond.

I've visited Hollinsclough Academy 4 years in a row now I think. As a visiting artist I've delivered comics, animation, drawing and painting and printing sessions, with some of the resulting work being published. Out of the now hundreds of primary schools I've worked in over the past 12 years, Hollinsclough is my favourite to return to. Children are respected as people, and this is reflected back in their behaviour and approach to their work and welcoming visitors. The atmosphere in class is one of positivity, hard work and enjoyment in whatever they may be exploring for the first time. If I lived any closer, this would be my first choice for my own children.

Kind regards,
